Brand Identity + UX/UI Design
SKNSPACE was my undergraduate thesis project that focused on a branded, digital space designed to educate and connect individuals who shared a mutual interest in skin health management. The brand identity and intended experience of SKNSPACE addressed the lack of inclusivity in existing resources.
This project was completed in 2021.
My research was centered on accurately understanding people’s existing skin health experience both personally and through professional guidance. I focused on doing media scans, interviews, and surveys to gather information and observe existing pain points before beginning my design process.
The final deliverables for my thesis project were a branded Instagram page and a digital skin health management app. The Instagram page exists as a community educational space, while the app exists as a personalized skin-tracking tool that allows users to practice what they learn by recording their skin health over time. Together, these two components make up SKNSPACE, an accessible community approach to skin health education.
